The UVC Stick Mobile is a commercial grade twin-lamp germicidal device with control timer panel and four wheels for easy mobility. Ideal for SME's, community health hubs, practices and family businesses, it works on the principal of direct radiation at 360 degrees and sterilizes irradiated air and surfaces. The UV-C lamps, with emission peak at 253.7 nm (nanometres), have a strong germicidal effect against micro-organisms (moulds, bacteria and viruses) in a direct line of the light beam.
The UV Tower Mobile can be operated within many high traffic environments such as motels, offices and consultation rooms to achieve a deep disinfection of air and surfaces with no nasty chemicals, poisons, smells, liquids or residues. Its height ensures the UVC light is beamed onto desktops, counters, vanities- all of the high touch areas- right down to chair surfaces, under tables, right to floor level. To achieve levels of disinfection in rooms where there is furniture & equipment that create shadows, and larger spaces, it will be necessary to establish 'zones' to position the UVC Stick Mobile strategically to achieve full light coverage within 2 metres; this normally means that 2 to 3 different locations and run cycles will be required to disinfect a room, to ensure reduction of shadowed areas. Set the UVC Stick Mobile in position, set the start delay, and the run timer- then leave the room and the Mobile will run its cycle and automatically shut off the UVC once the cycle is completed; making it safe for the operator to return and move to the next position, or to another room.
Traditional cleaning methods alone are at times often not sufficient to ensure high levels of hygiene. The process of disinfection can be greatly improved by introducing the use of UV-C technology. In a short period of time the UV Stick Mobile can achieve a reduction of over 99.9% on live bacteria strains such as Bacillus, Coli, Clostridium, Legionella, Vibrio, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus etc. Thanks to natural air circulation, even microbes located in hidden areas are continually drawn towards the irradiated area, so that their overall level progressively decreases.
Establishing the most efficient zones (positioning points) can be determined during the first disinfection cycle, using UVC dosimeters placed nearby to check irradiation levels and therefore germicidal efficacy for each cycle. Once zones are determined for best efficacy, the disinfection cycle becomes a process and does not need be reconsidered unless room layout changes. For example, a hotel room would typically have x3 zones and therefore x3 disinfection cycles; at each side of the bed at its foot to ensure areas down to the bedside tables are reached (as well as reaching objects and furniture opposite to the bed) , and once within the bathroom.
To avoid exposure to harmful UV-C rays, the operation of the UVC Stick Mobile is permitted only in the absence of personnel and be trained and authorized operators. However, the exposure risks are easy to manage once you understand this equipment fully, and its intended function. Full skin and eye coverage using PPE is required if for any reason you are exposed to the UVC light in action.
